How does a mini session differ from a full session?
Our regular “custom” photo sessions usually last an hour and a half to two hours in length and at the location of your choice. Mini sessions are conducted at a specific location and are twenty-five minutes in length. Only one outfit and one location (predetermined by photographer) is allowed.
This particular session is for families with children ages 7 months (child must be sitting on their own, unassisted) and older, maternity, seniors and couples are welcome as well!
As a general rule, children who may take more time to get acclimated to an environment or do not do well with time restraints may not be the best candidate for a mini session.
May I book multiple mini sessions together?
For this particular session, only one session is allowed per family.
What is the cost of the mini session?
The cost is $200 (up to four participants)—additional participants may be included if time allows at a rate of $25/person but must be approved by the photographers in advance. A $50 non refundable retainer is required to book, and the remaining balance will be due at the time of your scheduled session. Once we receive your email, we will send over an invoice to pay your retainer online. Your spot is not reserved until the retainer is paid. Retainers must be paid within 24 hours of receiving.
How do I sign up for a mini session?
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org Include parent’s name, child/children’s name(s), ages (if applicable), and a contact phone number. This information must be included in your email. Inquiries will be responded to on a first come first serve basis. Please note that Facebook/Instagram inquiries and Blog comments will not be counted/responded to.
What if it rains or the weather is bad on the day of our mini session?
In case of inclement weather, mini photo sessions will be cancelled and rescheduled at a future date and time.
Can I get a map to the mini session?
We will email you the address of the location for your GPS. We include this information in a private email to disclose the location to participants only. The generalized location will be in the middle Georgia area.
When will I receive my pictures?
About a week after your session, we will email you a sneak peek as well as a link to view all of the images from the day. Only the sneak peeks will be fully edited and are intended to give you an idea of what your finished product will look like. The images you choose will be cropped, color corrected, and retouched and will resemble your sneaks when complete. Total turnaround time will be approximately 2-3 weeks depending on how quickly you select your images. The mini session includes ten images, however, additional images can be purchased—we’ll include more details when we send over your proofing gallery link.
What to wear?
Remember to use patterns, textures and layers to add visual interest. Select clothing that is poppy, vibrant and fun! Choose colors that are deep, rich and intense! No solid white, black, pastels, etc. Bright, bold colors always photograph best. When it comes to jeans, opt for the darkest indigo wash. These tend to be the most flattering and least dated.
What to bring?
We will provide minimal props–but if you have a cute idea—bring it along!
When to arrive?
On-time of course! Please don’t be late as this will effect your available session time. Please plan to arrive around 5 minutes early to sign-in.
