Jake & Caitlin met in Kindergarten at a little elementary school in Gray, Georgia. Yes, you read that right, Kindergarten. These two have fond memories of running around on the playground and playing Power Rangers together. Both of their mothers often joked they would marry one day and throughout their childhood they would plan how they could get them to date each other. Jake & Caitlin remained childhood friends thanks to mutual friends and their shared youth group at church. Their mom’s finally got their wish when they started dating in high school and they take total credit for Jake proposing during their college years! A special moment on the wedding day included their Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Simpson, being able to attend and toast them her congratulations!
Surrounded with navy and berry details, Jake and Caitlin’s wedding took place under the large Pecan Tree at Twin Oaks Farm in Pineview, Georgia. Twin Oaks is surrounded by cotton fields that bloom in the Fall and it often gives the appearance of snow (hence the nickname “southern snow.”) It was the most gorgeous fall day and a majority of Jake and Caitlin’s portraits were in the dreamy high cotton field during sunset! Jake and Caitlin are full of laughs that are contagious and their time-tested love for each other shows in their interactions.
Jake’s first sight of Caitlin brought everyone to tears.

The famous Mrs. Simpson, the mom’s giving each other a big-five for their answered prayers and that adorable Kindergarten picture–all things celebrating the beginning of their relationship!
