GJ and Taylor’s rustic and military inspired wedding at The Estate at Stone Creek in Macon, Georgia last summer was nothing short of amazing. The first time we turned down the long and winding driveway to The Estate at Stone Creek, we instantly fell in love. We were surrounded by all of nature’s elements in the middle of Macon, Georgia. How could this be!? Gas flickering lights lined the many bridges that cross over the small creeks and lake. Spanish moss-filled trees litter the property. A vintage guard house, barn surrounded by the woods, and the 100 year old lodge where the wedding would take place, were enough to make our hearts go pitter-patter. GJ and Taylor’s wedding was infused with navy, plum and accents of gold. They wanted to include a rustic vibe as well as honoring GJ’s military background. All of the gorgeous florals and bouquets were hand-crafted by a family friend and Celebrations by Alexa displayed all of her yummy eats in vintage decor pieces. Legacy Events 119 delivered a fantastic celebration party to this reception. The best part of the night occured when Taylor “iced” GJ by hiding a Smirnoff Ice in her garter, forcing him to drop to one knee and chug the beer before he could continue with the garter! Everyone that knows us, knows that our two best friends in the wedding industry are Celebrations by Alexa (and her amazing crew) and Brandon and Lindsay Higgins with Legacy Events 119. Any wedding with these two at our sides is sure to be a fun-filled night!
You could say GJ is just a little taller.
